PURPOSE: To obtain a variable directivity speaker where the tone quality is not degrated even if the directivity is changed, by providing a speaker which produces direct sound, a speaker which produces indirect sound, and the third speaker which corrects high frequency sound of indirect sound.
CONSTITUTION: Speakers 10 and 11 whic produce indirect sound are provided on rear faces 7 and 8 of an enclosure 2 of a variable directivity speaker 1. A speaker 5 which produces direct sound and a speaker 6 which corrects high frequencies generated in case of sound production of speakers 10 and 11 are provided in a front face 3 of the enclosure 2. Rear faces 7 and 8 form 20° to the front face 3 of the enclosure 2, and the angle formed between rear faces 7 and 8 is 140°, and rear faces 7 and form 51° to a bottom face 9 of the enclosure 2. That is, sound is produced upward off to the rear from speakers 10 and 11 when the axis of the speaker 5 is regarded as a reference.
