PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable displacement piston pump capable of preventing excessive stress from applying on a spring energizing a swash plate to the maximum inclined angle side, when the inclined angle of the swash plate changes.SOLUTION: A variable displacement piston pump 1 includes: a pump housing 2 which stores a cylinder block 8 and a swash plate 15, and rotatably supports a rotary shaft 3; a control piston 34 which presses the swash plate 15; a spring 30 which energizes the swash plate 15 to the maximum inclined angle side; a spring receiving recessed member 24 provided on the pump housing 2; and a spring-incorporated hollow piston 27 which is provided so as to abut on the swash plate 15 and slide to the spring receiving recessed member 24, and opens the opposite side of an end surface opposing to the swash plate 15. The spring 30 is stored in the spring-incorporated hollow piston 27. One end of the spring 30 abuts on a bottom surface of the spring receiving recessed member 24, and the other end of the spring 30 abuts on an inner wall surface on the opposite side to the opening side on the spring-incorporated hollow piston 27.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
