Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable nozzle mechanism capable of suppressing abrasion.SOLUTION: A variable nozzle mechanism includes a plurality of nozzle vanes, a plurality of arms 49 and a unison ring. The plurality of nozzle vanes are provided in a nozzle passage. Each of the plurality of arms has a pivot end and a free end, and the pivot end is integrally connected to the nozzle vane by a support shaft 47. At the unison ring, a plurality of grooves are formed. With each of the grooves of the unison ring, the free end of the arm is engaged respectively. The free end of the arm has a closed side contact surface 510 and an opening side contact surface 520. Each of the closed side contact surface 510 and the opening side contact surface 520 comes into contact with one of a pair of walls for forming the grooves of the unison ring respectively. In the closed side contact surface 510, the curvature on the side closer to the support shaft 47 is different from the curvature on the side farther from the support shaft 47.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
