PURPOSE: To reduce the number of parts and to make the device compact by driving and controlling a motor in such a state where the operating magnification of a photographing lens system is to be a certain one by receiving positional information from a position detector.
CONSTITUTION: This device is constituted so that the variable power information is inputted by operating a position inputting part 1, the positional information is outputted by the position detector 4, and the magnification of the photographing lens system is set by driving a motor based on the positional information. Consequently, mechanical interlock between a finder 3 and the photographing lens system is not required, and a camera can be made compact and the number of the parts can be reduced. By constituting the device so that the magnification of the finder 3 and the irradiation angle of stroboscope 5 may be manually set by operating the position inputting part 1 not by driving the motor, battery energy can be also reduced. Furthermore, the operability of the camera can be improved by making the position inputting part 1 have the function of a power switch.
