Abstract:
To realize image inspection during variable printing efficiently and with high accuracy.SOLUTION: A variable printing image inspection system comprises: a printing part which prints an image on a sheet; an image reading part which reads a printed matter printed by the printing part, and generates a scanned image; an inspection part which inspects abnormality of the printed matter by comparing the scanned image generated by the image reading part with a pre-prepared correct image. In this system, print data concerning variable printing is analyzed, representative images of a pre-determined upper limit number or less are extracted from plural images concerning variable printing on the basis of the number of times a reused object is used at the same place in each printed matter in variable printing, the extracted representative images are printed by the printing part, the printed representative images are read by the image reading part, and the generated scanned image is registered as a correct image.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
