Abstract:
PURPOSE: To reduce water agitation resistance of a blade boss of a variable diameter propeller for ship when the variable blade comes to an opening position where the propeller diameter is made maximum.
CONSTITUTION: A boss 32a of a variable blade 32M is turnably stored in the recessed part 26 provided on the periphery of a propeller boss and a circular arc surface 32f connected to the periphery of the propeller boss is formed on the periphery of the boss 32a when the variable blade 32M turns up to the opening position B.
