Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a pacemaker depending on only physical activity without depending on vibration and shocks by detecting a muscle potential generated from the physical activity and correcting the generation of heart stimulation pulses. CONSTITUTION: This pacemaker 13 is embedded in the chest of a receiver 11, an electrode 15 is extended to a ventricle 17 and the muscle potential V for controlling pacing is taken out between the electrode 15 of the pacemaker 13 and a casing 19. Pulses from the heart are the output of an amplifier 53 and generate analog signals to be converted to a number in an A/D interface 57. At the beginning of the sampling time of a variable bone structure or during a reactionless partial section, the amplifier 61 is energized by signals from a microcomputer 31 obtained through a D/A converter, transmits muscle potential signals through the A/D interface 63 to the microcomputer 31, is provided with the passing band of 30-60 hertz optimized for the detection of the muscle potential signals, is integrated in a pacer circuit so as to detect the signals of the independent bone structure from the waveform detection channel 43 of the normal heart and optimally detects the signals of the bone structure or the muscle potential.
