To simplify the construction of a variable valve train by eliminating the need to provide a roller shaft for journaling an input roller, separately from a connection pin.
The variable valve train 9 comprises a rocker arm 20 including an input member 21 having an input roller 23 rotatably abutting on a rotary cam 10 and an output member 26 abutting on a valve 8, and a change-over mechanism 40 for mutually connecting the input member 21 and the output member 26 in a relatively non-rockable manner and for canceling their connection. The change-over mechanism 40 includes the first connection pin 41 mounted on the input member 21 displaceably between a position of stranding over between the input member 21 and the output member 26 and a position of not stranding over therebetween, and a hydraulic mechanism 51 for hydraulically driving the first connection pin 41. The input roller 23 is journaled to the first connection pin 41 via a bearing 24 by inserting the first connection pin 41 through a shaft hole 23p provided through the axial center relatively displaceably in the passing-through direction of the shaft hole.
