Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new vector, containing the objective gene and a malformation inducing gene as a marker gene, capable of selecting tissue containing a gene transduced thereinto without using a substance deteriorating the plant cell activities and having the marker gene retaining the safety of the gene product.
SOLUTION: This new vector contains the objective gene and a malformation inducing gene as a marker gene and useful for transducing a gene into a plant and capable of readily selecting a tissue containing the gene transduced thereinto without using a substance for deteriorating the activities of a plant cell and has the marker gene retaining the safety of the gene product thereof. After selecting the cell containing the gene transduced theretinto, the vector has functions to exclude influences of the marker gene and is capable of preparing a plant containing the gene transduced thereinto. The vector is obtained by arranging a malformation inducing gene at a position where the behavior is united with that of a DNA factor having the eliminating ability and bonding the target gene so as to be present at a position where the behavior is not united with that of the DNA factor having the eliminating ability.
