Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vegetation base for cultivation maintaining water holding property of porous inorganic particles, e.g. owned by pumice, promoting root taking of a plant, having homogeneity, light weight easy to work, suitable for roof or the like and a method of manufacturing the vegetation base for cultivation.
SOLUTION: This vegetation base for cultivation comprises a layer comprising porous inorganic particles injected with mortar comprising an adhesive intermixed with foamed granular hydrophobic resin or the like in a state in which the prescribed foamed granular hydrophobic resin is filled in the space of the porous inorganic particles formed on the prescribed layer in pressurized state, and the method of manufacturing the vegetation base comprises laying the mortar comprising the foamed granular hydrophobic resin, an adhesive comprising cement and an adhesion promoter and water on a molding box, laying the porous inorganic particles on the mortar and then pressing the layer of the porous inorganic particles to harden the mortar layer.
