Abstract:
To obtain, for example, a vehicle brake having a novel structure which can inhibit accumulation of air in a rotation-linear motion conversion mechanism and causes less inconvenience.SOLUTION: A vehicle brake of the disclosure includes: for example, a piston which is contained in a cylinder, moved along a center axis of the cylinder by a fluid pressure in the cylinder, and presses a brake member to a brake rotor; and a rotation-linear motion conversion mechanism having a rotary member which is provided with a male screw and rotates in conjunction with a rotor of a motor, and a linear motion member which is provided with a female screw, linearly moves in a first direction, in which the linear motion member approaches the brake member in response to normal rotation of the rotary member to press the piston, and moves away from the brake member in response to reverse rotation of the rotary member. At least one of the rotary member and the linear motion member is provided with a first passage which allows an intermediate part, located between a first end part as seen in a first direction and a second end part as seen in a second direction at an engagement part between the male screw and the female screw, and a fluid pressure chamber of the cylinder to communicate with each other in a position away from the engagement part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
