Abstract:
To obtain, for example, a vehicle brake having a novel structure which can inhibit accumulation of air in an engagement part of a rotation-linear motion conversion mechanism and causes less inconvenience.SOLUTION: A vehicle brake of the disclosure includes: for example, a body provided with a cylinder; a piston which is contained in the cylinder, moved along a center axis of the cylinder by a fluid pressure in the cylinder, and presses a brake member to a brake rotor; and a rotation-linear motion conversion mechanism having a rotary member which rotates in conjunction with a rotor of a motor, and a linear motion member which linearly moves in a first direction in which the linear motion member approaches the brake member in response to normal rotation of the rotary member to press the piston, and linearly moves in a second direction in which the linear motion member moves away from the brake member in response to reverse rotation of the rotary member; and an air bleeding mechanism which communicates with an engagement part between a male screw provided at one of the rotary member and the linear motion member and a female screw provided at the other member and which is provided with a pump chamber in which its volumetric capacity reduces as the linear motion member moves in the second direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
