To provide a vehicle ceiling structure capable of improving the use of an assist grip without impairing the design characteristics of a ceiling and improving rigidity of the ceiling.
The vehicle ceiling structure 1 includes the assist grip 3 capable of being stored in the ceiling 2 of the vehicle. The ceiling is arranged at both ends of the vehicle width direction of the ceiling and has first recesses 5a, 6a and second recesses 5b, 6b capable of storing the assist grip. Each of the first recesses and the second recesses has an attachment recess 10 capable of attaching an attaching portion 3b forming the assist grip, and recess space 11 that is recessed at the outside of a vehicle compartment more than the attaching recess. The ceiling further has third recesses 17 and 18 formed continuously in the vehicle width direction so as to connect the respective spaces of the first recesses and the second recesses.
