Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress deterioration of SOC estimation accuracy of a battery by securing estimation frequency of full charge capacity of the battery in a charging system for a vehicle mounted with a solar battery.SOLUTION: A charging system for a vehicle includes: a charger connected to an external power source; an on-vehicle solar battery; a battery charged with first electric power supplied from the external power source via the charger and with second electric power generated by the solar battery; and a control device for controlling charging/discharging of the battery. When open voltage before charging of the battery which is detected before charging of the first electric power from the charger is an initial time voltage value detected for the first time after start of use of the battery and electric current integrated capacity of the first electric power to charge the battery from start of the charging to the completion of the charging via the charger is larger than predetermined estimate electric current integrated capacity that enables estimation of full charge capacity of the battery (Yes in S10, S12), the control device prohibits charging of the battery with the second electric power to only for a predetermined time after completion of the charging with the first electric power (S14).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
