When detecting a present location of the vehicle, obtaining information of parking lots, collating the present location of the vehicle with the parking information to decide whether the present location is a parking lot or not, and deciding that the present location is the parking lot, the vehicle circumferential image photographed by an image pickup means 1 is displayed on a display means 8. Then, if not obtaining the decision result that the present location is the parking lot based on the collation result between the present location and the parking lot information, and when the driving operation for parking the vehicle is detected, the present location is newly registered and stored as the parking lot. This constitution can automatically register the unregistered parking lot and once registered, the vehicle circumferential image is automatically displayed on the display in parking the parking lot from the next time. During performing the driving operation for parking the vehicle, the vehicle circumferential image can be automatically displayed at all times.
