Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an on-vehicle communication device capable of optimizing a communication load and a processing load at a transmission destination by the transmission of probe data.SOLUTION: An on-vehicle communication device includes a communication unit for communicating with a device outside of a vehicle by radio, and periodically transmits measurement information measured regarding the travel of the vehicle to the device outside of the vehicle via the communication unit. The on-vehicle communication device comprises a communication control unit for controlling the transmission period of the measurement information by the communication unit or communication speed used for transmission of the measurement information. This allows the on-vehicle communication device side to autonomously select the transmission frequency or communication speed to transmit measurement information (probe data) according to the situation of an individual vehicle.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
