Abstract:

To provide a vehicle control device capable of detecting the state of a drive portion of a vehicle without using a sensor for detecting physical contact or the like.

The device contains a plurality of loudspeakers 1, 2, 3, 4 and a security ECU 10 for checking whether a door is opened or unlocked, based on output signals from the loudspeakers 1, 2, 3, 4. By using the output signals of the loudspeakers 1, 2, 3, 4, the device can monitor door opening and locking operations to detect the current state of the vehicle.
