The control device extends an idling stop time of the vehicle by adding a time according to the distance from the specific crossing to the switching time left of the signal, when the distance from the specific crossing to the vehicle is long like at a rear part of a vehicle line waiting for the signal. Meanwhile, the device sets the idling stop time of the vehicle according to the switching time left of the signal, when the distance from the specific crossing to the vehicle is short like at a top of the vehicle line. Thereby, the idling stop time can be set according to not only the switching time left of the signal but also the distance from the specific crossing to the vehicle.
