Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device for a vehicle, which makes it possible for a driver to recognize the presence of an object, and aids the driver in recognizing a change in the distance between the object and the vehicle.SOLUTION: A display device for a vehicle comprises: a disappearance point processing part 21B that calculates, from an image picked up from ahead of the vehicle, a disappearance point on a display screen on which a display image is shown; and a display processing part that produces a second display image 53 that uses, as a disappearance point direction, a direction toward the disappearance point from each position in the display image and becomes darker in color toward the direction of the disappearance point, and also produces a second display image 53 that satisfies the condition in which as the distance between the object detected from the picked up image and the vehicle increases, at least one of the followings is satisfied: the luminance of the second display image 53 increases, the transparency decreases, and a dispersion degree increases.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
