Abstract:

To provide a control unit capable of suitably obtaining a running performance desired by a user while applying a speed change control for a manually operated drive mechanism in the drive mechanism used for vehicles having a differential mechanism functioned as a speed change mechanism operated by differential actions and an automatic transmission.

In the drive mechanism having the continuously variable transmission section 11 and the automatic transmission section 20, when performing a manual speed change operation in a M position of a shift operation system 46, a total speed change ratio γT of the speed change mechanism 10 is changed by a manual speed change control means 86 at the basis of operational details of the shift operation system 46, a variation mode selected from two speed change ratio variation modes between a continuous variation mode continuously changing a speed change ratio and a step variation mode steppedly changing a speed change ratio in a switch 44. When a range is switched at the time of a manual speed change operation using the shift operation system 46, a speed change ratio is changed at the basis of the selected speed change ratio variation mode, and running of a vehicle suitable for tastes of a user can be obtained.
