Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to simply check the contents of data stored in an on-vehicle equipment by an on-road equipment without increasing the size of the on-vehicle equipment.
SOLUTION: Whether an inserted card is a management card or not is judged (406), and in the case of a management card, whether a flag is R (reading of data from an on-vehicle equipment) or W (writing of data in the on-vehicle equipment) is judged (412). When the flag is R, the data of the on-vehicle equipment are written in the management card (418) and an on-road equipment reads out the data of the management card. Consequently the data of the on-vehicle equipment can be transferred to the on-road equipment. When the flat is W, the data of the management card are written in the on-vehicle equipment, the flag is changed to R and then the data of the on-vehicle equipment are written in the management card (414 to 418). Since the data of the management card are read out by the on-road equipment, the on-road equipment can check whether the data of the management card are accurately written in the on- vehicle equipment or not.
