Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure a space for mounting equipment and reduce the weight of a vehicle while ensuring rigidity required for the vehicle. SOLUTION: A battery case 20 for enclosing a secondary battery is mounted and fixed between right and left gussets 12 serving as vehicle members for fixing the upper parts of right and left suspension devices 10 at the rear of the vehicle, and the battery case 20 and each gusset 12 are fixed by a connecting plate 26. The battery case 20 and the connecting plate 26 are formed of a high rigidity material. Stress applied to the gusset 12 is thereby supported directly or indirectly by the battery case 20 and the connecting plate 26. As a result, a space for mounting the battery case 20 can be secured large in comparison with the case of forming the gusset in structure indicated by a broken line 18. Moreover, rigidity required for the vehicle can be ensured.
