Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a low-beam light distribution pattern having a horizontal and oblique cutoff line at sufficient luminosity and a proper light intensity distribution, in a vehicle headlamp having two sets of reflection units with a light emitting element as a light source.SOLUTION: A first light distribution pattern having a horizontal cutoff line at an upper end is formed of light from a first light emitting element 22 which is reflected at a first reflector 24 of a first reflection unit 20, and a second light distribution pattern having an oblique cutoff line at an upper end is formed of light from a second light emitting element 32 which is reflected at a second reflector 34 of a second reflection unit 30. At this time, a reflection region Z1A in which the horizontal cutoff line can be formed is secured by constituting the first light emitting element 22 into a light emitting face shape which is long in a right-and-left direction, and on the other hand, a reflection region Z2D in which the oblique cutoff line can be formed is secured by constituting the second light emitting element 32 into a light emitting face shape which is long in a fore-and-aft direction.
