To provide a hydraulic control device comprising a solenoid valve for supplying predetermined hydraulic pressure, and a relay valve for selectively changing over a supply destination for predetermined hydraulic pressure, wherein an unexpected relay valve change-over trouble can be reliably detected.
When such a change-over trouble occurs that a lock-up relay valve 112 is fixed to a change-over position where a supply destination for control hydraulic pressure PSLU of a linear solenoid valve SLU is an engagement side position or a release side position, the operated condition of a hydraulic pressure switch 156 is not changed over although a change-over command is given to the other side, and so the change-over trouble can be detected. Second line pressure PL2 is always output to be supplied to an input port 152 of the lock-up relay valve 112, and so the change-over trouble can be reliably detected.
