In this vehicle information collecting method, a vehicle information collecting device 101 connected to an in-vehicle LAN 100 decides a problem based on control information 202, accumulates the control information before and after the occurrence of the problem in a storage device, and sends a key frame 201 to ECUs 102, 103. Furthermore, the control information that decided the problem and before-and-after time information to be accumulated are given to the key frame. The electronic control device decides sensor information dealt by itself at the time of the occurrence of the problem based on the control information given to the key frame, and by using this as a base point, it accumulates the sensor information of the before-and after time information given to the key frame in the storage device.
