Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately detect a violating vehicle, etc., mounting ID of a different vehicle kind section.
SOLUTION: Plural distance sensors (heads) 18 are plurally and horizontally provided for road information to generate 0/1 connection data showing the presence/absence of a vehicle on a detection line along the road width direction and height connection data showing the height profile of the vehicle on this detection line based on distance data obtained by these heads 18 by a connection processing part 30. Based on height connection data and vehicle position information, a height data calculation part 38 calculates height data of a maximum point, a minimum point, average height, etc., and based on this, a vehicle kind discrimination processing part 40 discriminates the kind of vehicle. A detection result and vehicle kind discriminating result information processing part 36 reports the result together with the output of a vehicle detection processing part 34 to a high-ordered system to accurately detect a violating vehicle mounting ID of a different vehicle kind section.
