Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle-light drive circuit that allows comprehensibly indicating an open failure of a light source to a user.SOLUTION: A vehicle-light drive circuit 1 includes: a first light source 11; a second light source 12 connected in parallel to the first light source 11; first and second switching elements 21 and 22 changing currents flowing through the first and second light sources 11 and 12; a PWM control section 40 adjusting the amount of light flux of the first and second light sources 11 and 12; an open-failure discrimination circuit 50 outputting a high-level electrical signal when an open failure occurs in one of the first and second light sources 11 and 12, and outputting a low-level electrical signal when an open failure does not occur in both the first and second light sources 11 and 12; and a simultaneous extinction circuit 60 fixing signals inputted to gates of both the first and second switching elements 21 and 22 and turning off them when the high-level electrical signal is inputted from the open-failure discrimination circuit 50.
