Abstract:
To provide a lock device for vehicles in which an arm part of a torsion spring is not caught by a lock lever even when the lock lever comes close to the arm part of the torsion spring due to distortion of a base and the like.SOLUTION: A lock device for vehicles comprises: a base 11 in which an approach groove 22 is formed for a striker S to enter; a latch 12 which rocks between a holding position A1 for holding the striker S and a release position A2 for releasing the striker S; a lock lever 13 which engages with the latch 12 to retain the latch 12 in the holding position A1; and a torsion spring 14 which is arranged adjacent to the latch 12 with a first arm part 52 positioned on the latch 12 side, and of which the first arm part 52 comes into contact with the striker S to energize the striker S backwards in an entering direction. The torsion spring 14 has the first arm part 52 bent or curved inwards with respect to the axis direction so that a tip 72a of the first arm part 52 lies inwards with respect to the axis direction of a wound part 51.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
