Abstract:
PURPOSE: To attain reception in all directions of an upper half space from a horizontal plane by improving the directivity of an H plane of the microstrip antenna in the TMn1 (n≥2) mode.
CONSTITUTION: A ground electrode 3 is formed over the entire face of a rear side 21 of a rectangular dielectric base 2 in the microstrip antenna 1 and a V-shaped radiation electrode 4 is formed on a surface 22 and a feeding point F is provided to an eccentric position of the radiation 4. A folded part of the radiation electrode 4 is provided to a position (position on a center line M-M) where an electric field distribution is maximized between the ground electrode 3 and the radiation electrode 4 to produce directivity of the H plane in a direction where the gain of the E-plane is reduced.
