Abstract:
To provide an operation detection device for vehicles and an operation detection method for vehicles capable of detecting a gesture of a user with good accuracy.SOLUTION: An operation detection device 120 includes: a position determination part 122 for determining whether or not a foot position and a hand position in an image captured by a camera 90 exist in a user determination area set in the image; a gesture determination part 124 for determining whether or not at least one of a foot gesture using a foot and a hand gesture using a hand has been executed, based on an image captured after being determined that the foot position and the hand position exist in the user determination area; and an output part 125 for outputting a trigger signal in the case where it is determined that at least one of the foot gesture and the hand gesture has been executed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
