Abstract:

To improve driver's visibility to pedestrians or the like in front of a vehicle.

The vehicle operation support system includes at least a UV light irradiating means (80 and 90) for irradiating the front of the vehicle with UV light, target detecting means (20, 30 and 50) for detecting a target in front of the vehicle, and control means (60 and 70) for changing the irradiation direction of the UV light irradiating means (80 and 90) in accordance with the detection results of the target detecting means (20, 30 and 50).
