Abstract:
PURPOSE:To measure the more correct present position and enable effective path guide to be performed by not correcting an assumed position in a radio wave measuring position wherein errors are increased due to the degradation of a radio wave receiving environment. CONSTITUTION:Hybrid position measuring means 1 is composed of a range sensor, a bearing sensor and a CPU. First, the present vehicle position is determined while correcting an assumed vehicle position obtained by integrating a unit running vector by the means 1 based on a vehicle position measured by a radio wave. Then, path guide is performed by path guide means 2 (CRT and the like) by using the present position measured by the means 1. On the other hand, radio wave intensity detecting means 3 (GPS receiver and the like) detects radio wave intensity in a radio wave measurement and radio wave intensity calculating means 4 (CPU and the like) calculates changes in the radio wave intensity. Correction prohibiting means 5 (CPU, system ROM and the like) prohibits a correction in a radio wave measuring position when the changes in the radio wave intensity are large. Thus, the more correct present position is measured and the effective path guide can be performed.
