Abstract:
To provide a device for preventing runaway due to an operational error of an accelerator pedal.SOLUTION: A vehicle runaway prevention device is configured so that, a sensor switch is provided on an accelerator pedal of a vehicle, the sensor switch includes plural detection points dispersed in an operation path of the accelerator pedal and detects whether or not there is abnormality in step-in speed of the accelerator pedal through a transit time difference of the accelerator pedal, and if there is abnormality, the sensor switch outputs an abnormality signal. A control unit receives the abnormality signal from the sensor switch, transmits a control signal to a brake for controlling oil supply of an engine, blocks a large amount of oil supply operation, restricts an operation of the vehicle, for achieving runaway prevention function. A release unit is provided on a shift lever and detects a position of the shift lever, and when the shift lever is put into a P range (parking) or N range (neutral), the release unit transmits the release signal to the control unit for releasing the control signal.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
