Abstract:
To lower the floor of a vehicle.SOLUTION: A vehicle side part structure 26 comprises: an opening part 28 for getting on and off a vehicle through which a passenger gets on and off the vehicle; and slide doors 22A, 22B which slide to open/close the opening part 28 for getting on and off the vehicle. The slide doors 22A, 22B are supported slidably by upper rails 30A, 30B and upper hinges 32A, 32B at the top, by lower rails 38A, 38B and lower hinges 40A, 40B at the bottom, and by center rails 34A, 34B, and center hinges 36A, 36B at the center between the top and the bottom. Drive units 54A, 54B for driving the slide doors to open/close via the upper hinges 32A, 32B are provided on the top of the vehicle side part structure 26. Provision of the drive units 54A, 54B in a place other than underfloor contributes to lower a floor.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
