Abstract:

PURPOSE: To secure the travel stability of a vehicle even at the abnormal time of a steering angle sensor by providing a correcting means for correcting a signal, inputted into a control means from the steering angle sensor, into a signal in the direction of enlarging a steering angle when the generation of abnormality to the output signal of the steering angle sensor is detected by an abnormality detecting means.

CONSTITUTION: When the generation of abnormality to the output signal of a steering angle sensor 114 is detected by an abnormality detecting means 131, the signal inputted into a control means 111 from the steering angle sensor 114 is corrected into a signal in the direction of enlarging a steering angle by a correcting means 132 receiving the output of the detecting means 131. With this correction into the signal in the direction of enlarging the steering angle, the control in the direction of controlling the spin of a vehicle is performed in traction control, for instance, which results in heightening the travel stability of the vehicle. The travel stability of the vehicle can be thereby secured even at the abnormal time of the steering angle sensor 114.
