Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle speed control device capable of appropriately setting a target speed in accordance with driver's ability to judge in a predetermined situation requiring a vehicle speed to be decreased.SOLUTION: An ECU 20 as a vehicle speed control device to control a speed of a vehicle: detects an eye direction of a driver; estimates driver's ability to judge on the basis of a change in the detected eye direction of the driver; and, in a situation requiring a vehicle speed to be decreased, sets a target vehicle speed in accordance with the estimated driver's ability to judge and controls the vehicle speed on the basis of the target vehicle speed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
