Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain a suspension characteristic which copes with variations in the drive condition of a vehicle, by providing a control means for creating a control signal for a flow regulating means in accordance with the amounts of variations in load exerted to a hydraulic cylinder support means so that the control characteristic is changed in accordance with the drive condition of the vehicle. CONSTITUTION:Flow control valves 48FR and the like for regulating the flow rates of hydraulic oil fed into cylinders 2FR and the like, are operated in accordance with a control signal from a control unit 60 which receives signals from sensors 62 for detecting the internal pressure of the cylinders 2FR and the like, a vehicle speed sensor 63 and a sensor 68 and in whichi a control circuit 56 creates a control signal for the flow control valves 48FR or the like. In this arrangement, the control signal is obtained by multiplying the value of a variation in load of the cylinder 2FR or the like with a transfer function. With this arrangement, it is possible to optionally control the suspension characteristic in accordance with the frequency. Further, the gain of the transfer function is changed in accordance with the drive condition of a vehicle, thereby an optimum characteristic may be obtained.
