CONSTITUTION: For each field, detected level data are fetched from the equivalent pulse of a video signal outputted from a television tuner 8 and by using these detected level data, the cycle of changing electric field intensity is led out. This device is provided with a diversity control part 11 to transmit a control signal corresponding to this cycle, waveform memory 21 to store no-signal parts continued to the equivalent pulse of the video signal over plural fields while synchronously adding them, control block 14 to receive the control signal and to increase/decrease the number of the fields of the no signal parts to be stored in the waveform memory 21, tap coefficient calculation part to calculate a tap coefficient for canceling the transmission distortion of the no signal parts from the no signal parts stored in the waveform memory 21 and a reference signal having no transmission distortion, and transversal filter 16 to write the tap coefficient by the control block 14 and to remove the transmission distortion of the video signal based on this tap coefficient.
