Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a theft prevention system which is inexpensive, highly reliable, and excellent in maintainability.
CONSTITUTION: This vehicle theft prevention system includes a checking means 2a for checking whether or not a vehicle operator is a licensed person, a theft recognition means 2b which recognizes the theft of the vehicle according to the result of checking by the checking means, and an operation judgment means 3 which determines whether or not operation of the vehicle is allowed according to the result of recognition by the theft recognition means. The operation judgment means 3 gains information from the theft recognition means 2b at the startup of the system and of the engine of the vehicle, and if theft is recognized, a controller 4 stops the engine 1 by changing the control characteristic of the engine 1. Transfer of information between the theft recognition means 2b and the operation judgment means 3 is performed via communications.
