Abstract:
To provide a vehicle travel control device for smoothing travel control by an autonomous operation mode and a remote operation mode.SOLUTION: In a vehicle 10 (a vehicle control system 20), a navigation unit 38 of a travel control device 30 predicts a remote operation section on a travel route where travel control of the vehicle in a remote operation mode is required based on route information related to the travel route and autonomous operation of the vehicle on the travel route. A vehicle control unit 48 requests a remote control terminal to input remote operation information before the vehicle 10 reaches the predicted remote operation section. Further, when a remote operation information acquiring unit 42 acquires the remote operation information, the vehicle control unit switches from an autonomous operation mode to the remote operation mode, and controls a travel driving unit 34 based on the remote operation information. Thus, the vehicle can smoothly travel while reducing burden of a remote operator.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
