Title:
ON-VEHICLE TYPE FUEL CELL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3293847
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To perform power generation having high reaction efficiency by forming a running wind channel around a fuel cell, by placing an inlet port downstream from the fuel cell in the running wind channel, by supplying reactive air to a fuel cell main body.
CONSTITUTION: A perforated hole is provided in the bottom of a car body located in the front of a parts group such as a reformer 1, a burner 2a, a fuel cell main body 3. Air flowing from the perforated hole forms a running wind channel passing through the surroundings of a heat generating parts group. Air passing through the running wind channel heat-exchanges the reformer 1, the burner 2, the fuel cell main body 3, etc., to prevent these apparatuses from overheating. And, an inlet port 3a for reaction air used for the fuel cell main body increases reaction efficiency in the reformer 1, or the fuel cell main body. Namely, air is sucked into the inside from the inlet port 3a due to the suction action of a fan and is preheated while flowing on the outer periphery of a cell stack. After passing through the fan, the air enters into the cell stack for reaction with a fuel gas. This performs power generation without a special heat exchanger.
