Abstract:

To provide an on-vehicle voice recognition system in which the direction of a voice input is surely detected to and which makes a user free from anxiety about where to set a microphone.

The on-vehicle voice recognition system in which a speaker recognizes the speaking voice of the speaker to operate on-vehicle equipment arranged in a vehicle is provided with microphones which are provided in a plurality of different positions and detect the voice of the speaker, a voice direction detection means which takes voice outputs from the microphones as the input and detects the direction of speaking of the speaker by the phase differences of these voice outputs, a voice recognition means which recognizes the speaking voice of the speaker, and an equipment operation means which operates the on-vehicle equipment arranged in the direction detected by the direction detection means.
