To secure an air reinjection path in a lateral-fitting and run-flat type wheel assembly.

The wheel assembly is provided with a wheel A, an air injection valve 40 fitted to a rim body 11 of the wheel A, and a tire C and an annular core B for a run flat which are fitted to the outer periphery of the rim body 11. At one portion of the perimeter of the outer peripheral face of an approximately cylindrical intermediate region of the rim body 11, a storage recessed part 18 is provided. A head part 41 (air blow-out part) of the air injection valve 40 is stored in the storage recessed part 18, and a pipe part 42 of the air injection valve 40 penetrates through a bottom wall of the storage recessed part 18. An air outlet 43a of the air injection valve 40 is arranged in the position lower than the outer peripheral face of the rim body 11 adjacent to the storage recessed part 18.
