To select a defective of a vehicle wheel, which is attributable to durability.SOLUTION: A vehicle wheel defective determination method is a method to determine whether a vehicle wheel obtained by connecting a wheel rim and a wheel disk by irradiating a boundary between the wheel rim and the wheel disk with a laser beam is defective. The vehicle wheel defective determination method includes: a specification step of specifying, for a welding mark by irradiation with a laser beam, the lowest point within a target range to a location separated by a specified distance on the inner side in a radial direction of the vehicle wheel from an inner circumferential surface of the wheel rim; and a determination step of determining that the vehicle wheel is defective when defective determination conditions are satisfied in which the condition that a relative distance (the inner side in the radial direction is positive) of the lowest point based on the inner circumferential surface of the wheel rim in the radial direction of the vehicle wheel is a reference distance or smaller is included as a required condition.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
