Abstract:

To maintain a stable stopped state even at a hill regardless of a road gradient by fixing an estimated value of the road gradient when an absolute value of vehicle speed is not more than a predetermined threshold.

The vehicle has a drive wheel 12 which is rotatably mounted on a vehicle body, and a vehicle control device which controls a posture of the vehicle body by controlling a driving torque given to the drive wheel 12. The vehicle control device estimates the road gradient based on the posture of the vehicle body, and fixes the estimated value of the road gradient when the absolute value of the speed of the vehicle 10 is not more than the predetermined threshold.
