Abstract:
PURPOSE:To detect the mileage of a vehicle with a high accuracy by providing the vehicle with a pulse generator so as to interlock with a wheel other than driving wheels. CONSTITUTION:A moved wheel casing 41 is provided with a pulse encoder 34 which interlocks with a moved wheel 32. The encoder 34 outputs constant pitch pulses of a number corresponding to the mileage of a vehicle. Since the moved wheel 32 only rotationally moves on a rail 2 when a vehicle runs, the moved wheel 32 does not slip with respect to the rail 2 as a driving wheel 36 driven by a motor 20 when the vehicle is started to run or accelerated or decelerated and no difference is generated between the mileage obtained from the number of detected pulses and the actual mileage of the vehicle. thus, the number of the pulses of the encoder 34 is detected and, based on the number of the pulses, the mileage of the vehicle and a distance to a target position can be always accurately obtained.
