Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle authentication system capable of reliable vehicle authentication to a wide range of vehicles while restraining cost increase.SOLUTION: A vehicle authentication system includes an authentication object vehicle and a server capable of communication with the authentication object vehicle and for performing authentication of the authentication object vehicle. The authentication object vehicle or the server generates travel trace information including a travel trace of the authentication object vehicle. The server determines whether the travel trace information is adequate or not on the basis of the travel trace, and authenticates the authentication object vehicle on the basis of the determination.
