Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for precisely measuring the remaining capacity of a storage battery mounted in a vehicle with the idling stopping function. SOLUTION: At the time of the idling stop, an engine 16, an alternator 2 and a DCDC converter 5 are stopped by an idling stop processing device 12, and after eliminating the effect of noise by the alternator 2 and the DCDC converter 5, the internal impedance of a 36V storage battery 3 is measured by a first charged condition judging device 4. Then the discharge rate is calculated based on the measured internal impedance, and the remaining capacity of the 36V storage battery is estimated by applying the calculated discharge rate to the current integrating method. In addition, a 12V storage battery 6 is also mounted so that an electric current will be fed to the first charged condition judging device 4 and the idling stop processing device 12 even when the DCDC converter 5 is stopped.
