Abstract:

To provide a vehicular alarm device capable of adequately attracting attention according to the situation to a person around a vehicle.

When a person around or in the vicinity of a vehicle is sensed as an object for alarm output (Step S100), the age group of the object for alarm output is determined (Step S200). Further, the alarm output is set based on the determined age group (Step S300). The alarm output is set by at least one of the selection of the kind of the alarm and the adjustment of the output level of the alarm. For example, when the object of the alarm output is a baby, approach of the self vehicle is effectively recognized by producing a music or the like favorite for babies without producing the sound to even more startle the object person like a known alarm.
