To safely and easily go up and down a loading space by using an opened gate by installing a landing step unit on the inside surface of a gate in the direction for being inverted in a gate closed state.

A landing step unit 1 is formed by rotatably installing a footboard 3 on an installing metal fitting 2 of a gate 20. The installing metal fitting 2 is fixed by a screw 23 by bringing a back face 2b into close contact with the gate 20 between an upper frame 21 and a lower frame 22. At this time, the landing step unit 1 is turned so that the gate 20 becomes an inverted attitude in a gate 20 closed state as shown by a continuous line. When the gate 20 is opened by rotating it with a lower hinge 24 as a fulcrum as shown by a dashed line, an attitude of the landing step unit 1 reverses. Then, a horizontal footstool is generated by opening the footboard 3 outside so as to go up and down a loading space 25 of a truck in the same feeling as going up and down stairs by placing feet on there.
